**GTA 6 has two playable protagonists — Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos — and six other named characters Rockstar has published bios for: Raul Bautista, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest and the rap duo Real Dimez.** Lucia is the first female protagonist in a mainline Grand Theft Auto.

Rockstar's official synopsis sets the frame: "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. ## The protagonists

### Lucia Caminos

The game begins with Lucia's release from prison. Rockstar's bio says she landed there while trying to provide for her family and got out on what it calls sheer luck. Her official material references a lifelong boxing background that has not consistently kept her out of trouble.

In the Extended Look she is the one carrying out a store robbery, shooting from the hip while hauling a bag one-handed, and taking negative karma for the escape. She is not written as a passenger.

### Jason Duval

Jason collects Lucia from prison in the second trailer, and appears to be both her romantic and criminal partner. His bio describes a childhood surrounded by grifters and crooks, an army stint that failed to shake it off, and present-day work running for drug dealers.

The Extended Look opened with a drug deal going wrong, then followed Jason on a much quieter register: walking through Lucia's apartment, choosing a beer from the fridge, sitting through full-screen in-world TV commercials while waiting for her to get ready. It is a deliberate tonal signal about how much of this game is downtime.

Rockstar has published official bios for these characters. Everything below is drawn from those bios and from trailer and Extended Look footage.

### Brian Heder

Jason's landlord, paid in criminal favours rather than rent. Rockstar describes him as "a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys." His wife Lori talks up his younger years in the second trailer. He is clearly not retired — in that same trailer he offers Jason and Lucia a job from a third party, with the condition that only one of them can take it.

### Raul Bautista

"A seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent," per his bio, which also flags him as growing more reckless. Read: he is the character who gets people killed on a job that should have been simple.

### Cal Hampton

Jason's friend, and an associate of Brian Heder. He is happiest at home listening in on Coast Guard comms with a few beers and some private browser tabs open. The obvious comparison is GTA 5's Lester — the guy who knows things he should not.

### Boobie Ike

A Vice City fixture who converted street money into a legitimate-ish empire spanning real estate, a recording studio and a strip club. His bio quote does the work: "The club money pay for the studio, and the drug money pay for it all."

Kotaku's write-up of the Extended Look noted a sequence where Jason and Lucia enter an apartment building looking for someone named Boobie.

### Dre'Quan Priest

Described in his bio as "more of a hustler than a gangster." He runs Only Raw Records, has investment from Boobie Ike, and books gigs at Boobie's club. He has signed a duo he hopes will finally give him a hit.

### Real Dimez

Roxy and Bae-Luxe, friends since high school, now signed to Only Raw Records. Their bio credits them with "the savvy to turn their time shaking down local dealers into cold, hard cash via spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence." Their one hit was five years ago, with a rapper called DWNPLY.

## Characters seen but not fully documented

PC Gamer's running list, updated the day after the Extended Look, adds several names that have appeared in footage without full official bios — including Valentia, a returning character who originally debuted in GTA Online; Petra Navarro and Andres de Leon, both connected to a company called Megamundo, who hire Jason and Lucia as security; and Raymond and Ernesto, two figures in a betrayal shown in the Netflix footage.

These are **less firm** than the bio'd cast. Names spotted in footage get corrected often, and we would rather flag the uncertainty than pad the list.

## Who voices GTA 6?

Unknown, officially. Rockstar has not announced its cast, and it typically does not until launch. Kotaku speculated after watching the Extended Look that a character may be played by the character actor Stephen Root — that is an outlet's guess from a performance, not a credit, and we are recording it as exactly that.

We will not publish a voice cast list until Rockstar publishes one or credits appear in the shipped game.

## What we still do not know

- The actual antagonist. Nobody in the revealed cast has been positioned as the villain of the "criminal conspiracy" the synopsis describes.
- How the relationship system works, or whether it has failure states.
- Whether the Criminal Profile — the persistent tracker built from your free-roam crimes — feeds into character reactions or story outcomes.
- Voice and performance credits.
- Whether any other GTA-universe characters return. Valentia is the only returning name identified so far, and that identification is not Rockstar's.

GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026, and Take-Two has said the launch version will "feature a single player experience."
