# What this site collects — and mostly does not

GTA6 Intel Hub has no accounts, no newsletter and no ad network. This page states exactly what data is processed, by whom, and your GDPR and UK GDPR rights.

*Privacy policy on GTA6 Intel Hub. https://gta6intelhub.com/privacy*

A short policy, because there is genuinely not much to describe. No accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletter, no ad network, no data sold to anyone.

## The short version

- You cannot create an account here. There is nothing to sign up for.
- There is no newsletter, so no email address is ever collected.
- There are no comments, no forms, and no logins.
- There is no ad network and no advertising or cross-site tracking pixel.
- Site search runs entirely in your browser. Your queries are never sent to a server.
- A cookieless visit counter (Umami) records aggregate page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot identify you.
- Google Analytics only runs if you press **Accept** on the banner. Decline and no GA cookie is ever set — and you are not asked again.
- Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with data brokers. Ever.

## Who is responsible for your data

GTA6 Intel Hub is run by one independent operator, who is the data controller for the processing described here. For any privacy question, correction, or rights request, write to [privacy@gta6intelhub.com](mailto:privacy@gta6intelhub.com) and include enough detail to identify what you are asking about.

No data protection officer is appointed. Given the scale and nature of the processing — no accounts, no special category data, no profiling — one is not required under Article 37 of the GDPR.

## Hosting: Cloudflare

This site is a set of pre-built static files served from Cloudflare's global network. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical information your browser sends in order to deliver the page and to protect the site from attack. That includes your IP address, the URL requested, your user agent, and the time of the request.

This processing is necessary to serve you the page at all and to keep the site available. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating and securing the service. Cloudflare acts as a processor; its own privacy documentation covers what it retains and for how long. The operator of this site does not maintain a separate copy of those logs and does not use them to build any profile of you.

Cloudflare may also set a security cookie in some circumstances (for example when serving a challenge to suspected automated traffic). That is a security function of the network, not something this site configures or reads.

## Analytics

There are two measurement tools on this site, and they are treated very differently, because they are very different things. One sets no cookies and runs for everyone. The other sets cookies and runs only if you say yes.

### Umami — cookieless, runs for everyone

Umami counts page views so the operator can tell which articles are worth writing more of. It is an open-source analytics tool running on an instance the operator controls at `umami-rose-six-73.vercel.app`, not on a shared advertising platform.

- **It sets no cookies** and writes nothing to your device.
- It does not store your IP address. Your IP is used transiently, in memory, to derive a country and a non-reversible daily hash, then discarded.
- It records the page URL, referrer, screen size, browser, operating system and country — the ordinary shape of a web request, aggregated.
- It cannot follow you to another website and does not build a profile.

Because it stores nothing on your device, it does not require consent under the ePrivacy rules, and it is not covered by the banner. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in understanding whether the site is useful. You can object — see "your rights" below — and any content blocker will stop it loading, with no effect on the site.

### Google Analytics 4 — only with your consent

GA4 gives a more detailed picture than a page counter: how people arrive, which searches bring them, whether they read to the end. It sets first-party cookies (typically `_ga` and a `_ga_<id>` pair) holding a randomly generated identifier, so repeat visits count as one visitor rather than several.

**Nothing is stored until you agree.** Google Consent Mode is initialised with every storage type set to *denied* before the Google script is allowed to load, so no GA cookie is written on page load. The banner asks once. If you decline, consent stays denied and no GA cookie is ever set; if you accept, it is granted. Declining is one click, exactly like accepting — the legal basis here is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), and consent that is hard to refuse is not consent.

Your choice is stored in your browser's `localStorage` under the key `gta6ih.consent.analytics` — deliberately not a cookie, so that *refusing* tracking does not itself store a tracker. To change your mind, clear site data for this domain in your browser settings and the banner will ask again.

Advertising features, remarketing, Google signals and user-ID are all off; IP anonymisation is on; no data is exported to Google Ads. Google acts as a processor and may process the data on servers outside the EEA and UK, under the transfer safeguards set out in Google's own terms.

Neither tool is load-bearing. Block both with any content blocker and every page, link and search on this site works identically.

## What is deliberately absent

- **No accounts.** There is no registration, login, or profile.
- **No newsletter.** There is no recurring mailing list. The only email we will ever send is the single launch notification described below, and only if you ask for it.
- **No comments or user-generated content.**
- **No contact form.** Contact is by email, which is between you and your mail provider.
- **No advertising network, no ad cookies, no retargeting pixels.**
- **No social media tracking widgets.** Links to external sites are plain links.
- **No fingerprinting** and no attempt to identify you across sites.

## First-visit date

The first time you open this site, your browser stores a single date — the day you arrived — under `g6ih.since` in local storage. It is used only to show you a line such as "you have been following since 81 days before launch."

It is never sent anywhere, never joined to analytics, and contains no time of day, no identifier, and no record of what you read. It stays on your device. You can erase it with the "Forget this date" button on [the time capsule page](https://gta6intelhub.com/time-capsule), or by clearing site data for this site.

## Launch notification

If you submit your address to the launch-notification form, we store three things: the address itself, the path of the page you submitted it from (so we know which promise you were answering), and the time you submitted it. Nothing else. It is kept in Cloudflare KV, in the same account that serves this site, and it is not shared with, sold to, or processed by anyone else.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), given by submitting the form. The purpose is narrow and single-use: one email when the thing you asked about happens. There is no drip sequence and no second list.

**Withdrawing consent.** Use the unsubscribe control, or email [privacy@gta6intelhub.com](mailto:privacy@gta6intelhub.com) and we will delete the record. You do not need an account and you do not need to explain why. Addresses are deleted once the launch email has been sent, or on request, whichever comes first.

To stop one connection signing up thousands of addresses, we keep a short-lived counter keyed by a *hash* of your IP address — never the address itself — which expires within two hours.

## Search

Site search is powered by a static index that is downloaded to your browser and queried locally. Your search terms are not transmitted to this site's server, are not logged, and are not visible to the operator.

## Fonts and embedded media

Web fonts are self-hosted: they are downloaded at build time and served from this domain, so loading a page does not send a request to Google Fonts or any other font host.

Some articles may embed official trailers from YouTube. An embedded video is loaded from YouTube's servers and is subject to Google's privacy policy — an embed can set cookies and see your IP address once it loads. Where embeds are used, the privacy-enhanced `youtube-nocookie.com` domain is used.

## Your rights

If you are in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with comparable law, you have the right to request access to your personal data, its correction or erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability. You can also withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — your national data protection authority in the EU, or the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.

In practice there is very little to exercise these rights against: this site holds no account, no email address, and no record that identifies you. A request will be answered honestly on that basis, and any analytics data associated with an identifier you can supply will be deleted on request. Requests go to [privacy@gta6intelhub.com](mailto:privacy@gta6intelhub.com) and are answered within one month.

No automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects takes place on this site.

## Retention

Server and security logs are retained by Cloudflare according to its own schedule; this site does not extend or archive them. Where Google Analytics is enabled, the retention window is set to the shortest option the platform offers. Cookieless page-view counts are aggregate statistics that are not linked to any person and are kept as a running total. Email you send is kept only as long as needed to deal with what you wrote about.

## Children

This site is a general-audience reference about a video game rated for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal data from them. Since it collects no personal data through any form, there is nothing to delete — but if you believe otherwise, write in and it will be handled.

## Changes to this policy

This policy is dated. If the site starts doing something new — adding a newsletter, an ad network, or a consent banner — this page is updated before the change ships, not after, and the date below moves.
