  Rockstar's Vintage Vice City Pack includes a weapon finish it bills under the heading "Channel the Original Kingpin": a tropical pattern you can adorn most guns with, "inspired by Tommy Vercetti's iconic palm tree button-up". The Ultimate Edition's Morgan revolvers go further, described as sourced from the Vercetti Estate. GamesRadar+ flags the Vercetti Estate reference as the more interesting half, since an accessible estate would raise the question of what Vice City's 1986 protagonist has been doing in the intervening decades; PC Gamer has shown the tropical pattern on a MAC-10-style SMG.

  Criminal Profile, GTA's Take on Red Dead's Honor

  GTA 6's Criminal Profile system tracks how Jason and Lucia behave and signals approval or disapproval with small angel and devil popups, which PC Gamer and GameSpot both compare directly to Red Dead Redemption 2's Honor system. Eurogamer, drawing on Rob Nelson's comments to IGN, reports the key difference is context: you are not penalized for defending yourself or firing back at pursuers, only for escalating unnecessarily and consistently, and Nelson stresses there is "no right or wrong way to play this game".   An M4-style carbine and a poacher's sniper rifle in GTA 6 both carry the insignia of the Duke Arms Company, a manufacturer players will recognize from Red Dead Redemption. PC Gamer spotted the marking on the magwell and GamesRadar+ reads the same logo across a carbine, a special ops carbine, an assault sniper rifle and the Mustang .357 revolver, making this one of the few concrete links between Rockstar's western and modern-day series. It implies the company survived the end of the frontier and moved into GTA's criminal supply chain.

  Morgan Revolver Serial Numbers

  The two modified Morgan revolvers bundled with GTA 6's Ultimate Edition, one each for Jason and Lucia, carry unique engravings. PC Gamer reports the serial numbers reference the release dates of GTA: Vice City and Vice City Stories; GamesRadar+, looking at the same key art, reads the engraving as the owners' names — J. Duval and L. Caminos — plus a "VC" near the hammer. Rockstar's own listing confirms "palm-tree-etched grips, engraved detailing" sourced from the Vercetti Estate but does not say what the numbers spell, so the outlets are not reconciled and the specific reading should not be treated as settled.

  Phil Cassidy's Return at Phil's Ammunation

  Trailer 2 features an advert for a gun shop called Phil's Ammunation, fronted by a man closely resembling Phil Cassidy from GTA: Vice City and Vice City Stories, where his store was named Phil's Depot. GamesRadar confirms the sign genuinely spells it 'Ammunation' rather than the series-standard Ammu-Nation, making the mangling deliberate. The catch is that GTA 6 sits in the HD universe while Phil belongs to the older 3D continuity, and this version has both arms where Phil famously lost one.

  A classic sports car in GTA 6's first trailer carries a license plate spelling out 'cheetah', which PC Gamer used to confirm the vehicle as a Grotti Cheetah Classic.   The Ocean View Hotel Returns

  The Ocean View Hotel, a landmark of the original 2002 GTA: Vice City, reappears in GTA 6's reveal material — Rockstar's own screenshot caption names it, showing Jason and Lucia standing outside it with the '55 Vapid Stanier behind them, and PC Gamer notes early clips harking back to it. Its return is one of the most direct architectural links between the two versions of the city, separated in-fiction by roughly forty years. Reading it as a deliberate callback is still interpretation; Rockstar has not commented on it.

  The Oceanic and the Avalon Hotel Oldsmobile

  The Oceanic, GTA's long-running Oldsmobile Super 88 homage, appears to return in GTA 6's first trailer. PC Gamer points out the car references a real Oldsmobile permanently parked outside Miami's Avalon Hotel, one of the most photographed sights on Ocean Drive. Notably, the building in GTA 6's version of the scene is not the same hotel, so the nod is to the car rather than a full recreation.

  PC Gamer's breakdown of the Extended Look notes influencer gags including a character calling out 'Chat what do I do?!', and VGC's rundown describes a clip of Lucia driving away while an influencer streams from her car with the stream chat rendered down the right of the screen. That places livestreaming culture squarely in GTA 6's satirical crosshairs, fitting the series' habit of pinning each entry to the media landscape of its release window. How extensively streamer culture features beyond background gags is not yet clear.

  One-Eyed Willie's and The Goonies

  One-Eyed Willie's is confirmed by Rockstar itself as an Ultimate Edition off-road mod shop in Lake Leonida, and PC Gamer reported the same from the pre-order details. The name strongly evokes One-Eyed Willy, the pirate whose treasure drives the plot of The Goonies, which would be very much in keeping with Rockstar's naming humour. No source has confirmed the reference is intentional, so this connection is our own reading and should be treated as such.
